Gabon Votes to Reverse Criminalisation of Same-Sex Relations
In a landmark decision, on Monday, 6 July 2020, the Senate of Gabon voted to decriminalise same-sex relations with 59 votes in favour, 17 against and 4 abstentions. The move to decriminalise was supported by the lower house of Parliament on June 23, 2020.

Iceland and Nepal Join UN LGBTI Core Group
On 14 May 2020, Iceland and Nepal joined the UN LGBTI Core Group, bringing the number of members of the group to a total of 31 states and the delegation of the European Union. Nepal is the second country in Asia to become part of the group.
