Germany plans equal rights for lesbian co-mothers proposed reform says
A baby born into a lesbian family will have two mothers, and neither will be required to apply to adopt the child, according to a proposed reform.

The Coman case can only be the start of further equality for rainbow families
On 5 June 2018, the Court of Justice of the European Union delivered a landmark ruling in the
Coman case.1 In its preliminary ruling, the Court established that, for the purposes of the grantof family reunification rights, same sex-spouses have the right to move together across the internal boundaries of the Union, regardless of different national laws on same-sex marriage.

Romania to hold referendum that could violate the rights of rainbow families
In a decision issued this morning (17 September), the Romanian Constitutional Court has approved a proposal (by 7 votes to 2) to hold a referendum on the definition of family.

Parliament urges Commission & Member States to guarantee freedom of movement LGBTQ families
Yesterday, the European Parliament adopted a non-binding resolution on protection and non-discrimination with regard to minorities in the EU Member States. The resolution contains strong wording on the free movement of LGBTQ families.
