Nottingham man «attacked like a dog» in homophobic assault
A man from Nottingham, who is gay, claims he was «attacked like a dog» in a homophobic assault while walking home after a night out in the city centre.
Lewis North reported being punched, spat on, and bitten outside the Victoria Shopping Centre on Milton Street around 2:30 am on Sunday, January 7. The 32-year-old was on his way home to the Arboretum from the New Foresters pub, a popular LBGTQ+ venue. Authorities are treating the incident as a hate crime, nottinghampost.com reports.
