Public urged to support Cork library workers abused over LGBTQ+ reading material
At 1:30 pm/ 13.30 (GMT / local time) on Friday, library employees are scheduled to march from Grand Parade to City Hall.
Fearing a far-right counter-protest in the city centre on Friday, the public has been urged to show support for Cork library employees who are being intimidated at work over LGBTQ+ reading material.
A demonstration in support of the Cork library employees has been planned by the labour union Fórsa for Friday at 12:30 p.m GMT. outside the city’s main library on Grand Parade, followed by a march to City Hall, irishexaminer.com reports.
