NRK reveals: World Cup hotels deny gays to book rooms

Despite the FIFA president's promises that everyone is welcome in Qatar, several World Cup hotels refuse gays to book rooms.

Over a quarter of the hotels recommend that you do not show your sexual orientation, Norwegian NRK reports.

Everyone is welcome here in Qatar, even when we talk about LGBTQ +, Gianni Infantino assured at the FIFA Congress in Doha in March.

But is the promise also rooted in the 69 hotels that FIFA itself recommends for the World Cup? A survey conducted in collaboration between NRK (Norway), SVT (Sweden) and DR (Denmark), shows that several of the hotels refuse to accommodate gays.
