UK : Teenage victim of homophobic attack on bus

The incident is being treated as a hate crime by police

A teenager who was seriously assaulted on a bus in a homophobic attack on Monday has spoken out about the attack.

Kydis Zellinger, 18, from Hartcliffe, was travelling home on the First Bus number 76 service southbound from Redcliffe Hill with a friend when he was subjected a number of punches to the head during the unprovoked assault, which Avon and Somerset Constabulary are now treating as a hate crime.

As a result of the attack he has suffered significant swelling and bruising to his face, including two black eyes, and has been left too terrified to leave the house alone.
