Copenhagen gets LGBT nursing home

Copenhagen is planning the creation of Denmark's first retirement home for LGBT persons from 2015.

Starting next year, planning the City of Copenhagen creation of Denmark’s first LGBT nursing homes, and thus follows a number of other European cities footsteps.

Amsterdam and Berlin have theirs and from 2015, Madrid also on the list of European cities with nursing home for LGBT people – and now the Copenhagen follows.

Care Mayor Ninna Thomsen explains that the new LGBT nursing home will help make it easier to live as a sexual minority in old age, Berlingske reports.
