Mother punched son and called him ‘dirty queer’ when he came out
A homophobic mother punched her son in the face after he came out as gay at a family party.
Emma Green subjected her son Scott to a tirade of homophobic abuse when he told her he was in a relationship with another man.
The party descended into a brawl and Green, who called her son a “dirty queer”, smashed him in the face in front of police officers who had been called.
At Perth Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Green was ordered to pay £100 compensation to her son and was fined £200.
