Spain’s Constitutional Court approves gay marriages
Spain's Constitutional Court endorsed the legality of gay marriages on Tuesday, dismissing an appeal presented in 2005 by the Popular Party against the law approved by Jose Luis Zapatero's socialist government.
The country’s top court established that same-sex marriage is a constitutional right, thus legitimizing at least 25,000 weddings that took place in Spain under the gay marriage law, AGI
reports.
