Malaysian anti-gay camp condemned
There's been an outcry in Malaysia where a state has sent teenage boys to a camp to try to stop them being gay.
The Terengganu State Education Department is running the camp for 66 boys whose teachers identified them as effeminate, according to ABC News.
A national cabinet minister and several human rights organisations are calling for such camps to be abolished. They say they breach children’s rights and would be traumatizing, ABC News reports.
