Police cancel gay bowling night at The Block

Police say bowling alley was operating like nightclub for 'Spin Tuesday.'

“Spin Tuesday,” a weekly gay event, has moved after the Police Department ordered a bowling alley at The Block, Lucky Strike Lanes, to gutterball the festivities.

Sgt. Fred Lopez said today that the event often attracted hundreds of people who stayed until the early-morning hours to dance and listen to amplified music, a violation of the bowling alley’s conditional-use permit, OC Register reports.
