Sphen and Magic, often referred to as «the penguin power couple», successfully adopted and raised two chicks: Sphengic (Lara) in 2018 and Clancy in 2020. Their commitment to each other transcended traditional breeding periods, a rarity in gentoo penguin relationships. This unique behaviour showcased their extraordinary connection.

A Symbol of Equality and Inspiration

Beyond their adorable and loyal companionship, Sphen and Magic’s story has had a profound societal impact.
