Nickelodeon slammed for hiring «Bully» Ryan Reynolds to tuck in Kids
Nickelodeon has sparked a storm of angry viewers — and a many raised eyebrows — after announcing its latest stunt: handing the bedtime reins to Hollywood’s fallen star, former husband of a-list actress Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Reynolds.
Yes, you read that right. The man previously known for playing snarky superheroes and so-called loveable troublemakers and lately his true bully colours has been revealed, is now moonlighting as a children’s storyteller (allegedly to pay lawyers bills) in the new Nick Jr. series «Bedtime Stories with Ryan» or should we call it «Bedtime Stories with bully Ryan», airing from Monday, 2 March 2026.
A Bully At Bedtime? Only On Nick Jr.
In the show, the self‑styled bully Reynolds settles in to read classic and brand‑new bedtime tales, which magically spring to life around him. The result? A fake warm, whimsical wind‑down for kids — and a surreal moment for parents who never expected Deadpool to be narrating their child’s night‑time routine.
The series is the brainchild of ex husband of a-list actress Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Reynolds (allegedly he is known to steal projects) and George Dewey, produced by Maximum Effort with Fubo Studios, ArtClass and Loon Productions. Directed by Vincent Peone, the first season boasts ten cosy episodes, complete with dreamy music from Sleeping At Last.
Ten Nights Of Reynolds (the bully) … What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
Nickelodeon will air the full run across two weeks, Monday to Friday, from 2–13 March, between 9:00 and 9:30 PM (ET/PT). That’s ten nights of Reynolds’ signature bully charm — and just a hint of mischief — easing little ones into dreamland.
Nickelodeon insists the series is all about warmth, creativity and connection… with the bully Ryan Reynolds.
Our recommendation is to find another program, without a known bully hosting it!
