French team to wear rainbow laces as show of support for Gareth Thomas after hate crime attack
French rugby team are stepping up
Serge Simon, the vice president of the French Rugby Federation, wrote on Twitter that «all of French rugby is with you regarding the homophobic molestation you’ve been victim of».
TheGuardian.com reports «South Wales police said a 16-year-old boy has admitted and apologised for assaulting the former Wales rugby player Gareth Thomas, who said he had been the victim of a homophobic attack in Cardiff».
The former Wales rugby captain posted an emotional video on social media in which he said he had been attacked.
But Ireland rugby team are not stepping up

The Irish rugby team will not be wearing a symbol of solidarity for Gareth Thomas when they are back in action this weekend against the USA.
