Gay couple refused entry to Wetherspoons pub because of their sexuality

Joshua Fox, 23, has said that the couple were refused entry to The Moon Under Water pub in Manchester, after they had been for a meal in the city.

Door staff at the pub reportedly told them that the watering hole was only welcoming ‘mixed couples’ as they tried to enter.

In a personal blog written about the incident, Mr Fox has said that although a second staff member allowed the couple entry, they were affected by the incident and decided not to have a drink at the pub.
