A team from Northumbria University, Newcastle are developing plans for an online platform that would help members of the LGBTQ+ community to understand their legal rights when they travel abroad.

Northern Ireland same-sex adoption rate lowest in UK
Fewer same-sex couples who apply to adopt in Northern Ireland have a child placed with them than LGBTQ couples in other parts of the UK, figures obtained by BBC News NI suggest.

Russia: «Gay Propaganda» Law Endangers Children
Russia’s «Gay Propaganda» law is having a negative impact on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) youth, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. The 2013 law exacerbated the hostility LGBTQ people in Russia have long suffered, and also stifled access to LGBTQ-inclusive education and support services, with harmful consequences for children.

Joint paper from 19 Member States for an EU LGBTI strategy
6 December 2018, 19 EU member states signed a common paper prepared by the Maltese government, calling for continued efforts within the EU to ensure full protection of LGBTI rights. The paper called on the next European Commission to ensure strong follow-up of the current EC LGBTI list of actions and adopt a coherent EU LGBTI strategy.
