«I’m From Driftwood» to Host 50-State Story
«I’m From Driftwood», the U.S online LGBTQ story archive, is gearing up for a 50-State Story Tour Exhibition in four U.S. cities during the month of May. The free events are part of a series of celebrations marking the organisation’s 10th anniversary. «I’m From Driftwood» has spent the last decade producing, curating, and publishing first-person stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people of all backgrounds.

A new exhibition opening February 15 at the GLBT Historical Society Museum highlights the extraordinary vitality of queer nightlife in San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMa) district during the darkest years of the AIDS crisis, an era that simultaneously marked the peak of AIDS activism and queer militant organising in the city.
