Thousands of LGBT Advocates Pause to Grieve the Death of David Kato
In the wake of the brutal murder of David Kato, gay advocate in Uganda, thousands of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender leaders attending the Creating Change conference in Minneapolis, February 2-6, paused to remember his life and vowed to work even harder to tell our stories and move public opinion to accept LGBT people in all countries.

HRC: U.S. Pastors Exporting Bigotry to Uganda with Murderous Results
In the wake of the murder of Ugandan LGBT civil rights leader, David Kato, the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest civil rights organization dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality, is calling on U.S. fundamentalist pastors Carl Ellis Jenkins, Lou Engle, and Scott Lively, to quickly abandon their hateful and dangerous anti-LGBT rhetoric and actions.

Give Ugandan gays visas
American activists have called on countries to offer asylum to gays from Uganda after a tabloid there outed over 100 people, calling for them to be hanged. Rolling Stone newspaper (not connected to the US music magazine of the same name) has so far printed two separate lists of alleged homosexuals – provoking censure from across the globe.
