MEPs take stock of LGBT rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro
Today, the European Parliament adopted three of its annual reports on the EU accession process for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and Montenegro. Last month, MEPs already examined the situation in Serbia and Kosovo.

New EU accession reports: LGBT rights in South-Eastern Europe and Turkey
The European Commission’s annual reports on accession countries were published yesterday, and include important and extensive information on the situation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in those 8 countries.

On Friday 27 September the government declined to authorise the Belgrade Pride Parade due to take place the following day. The pride march was banned by authorities quoting “serious threats to the peace and public order.”
