Brunei: New Penal Code Imposes Maiming, Stoning
The Brunei government’s introduction of a new Sharia penal code poses grave threats to basic rights, especially for the country’s most vulnerable people, Human Rights Watch said today.

Elton John, George Clooney urge boycott of Brunei-linked hotels
The tiny monarchy, which owns the Beverly Hills Hotel and Hotel Bel-Air, will reportedly start instituting Sharia law for crimes including homosexuality.
