Parliament human rights report addresses LGBTI criminalisation, trans rights and same-sex unions
Last week, the European Parliament voted its annual report on human rights in the world. The report takes account of the situation of human rights, including of LGBTI people, and makes recommendations accordingly. The report contains strong language on the rights of LGBTI people.

European Parliament reviews progress on LGBTI rights of Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia
Today the European Parliament adopted four of its annual reports for candidate and potential candidate EU countries. MEPs have assessed the rights of LGBTI people, and recommended the countries to improve the situation.

FYR Macedonia bans same-sex marriage and creates constitutional obstacle future civil unions
In a vote yesterday, the Parliament of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) constitutionally defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman. Furthermore, it created a constitutional hurdle to possible future Macedonian flaglegislation on same-sex civil unions.
