Iceland and Nepal Join UN LGBTI Core Group
On 14 May 2020, Iceland and Nepal joined the UN LGBTI Core Group, bringing the number of members of the group to a total of 31 states and the delegation of the European Union. Nepal is the second country in Asia to become part of the group.

The Horizontal Anti-Discrimination Directive cannot wait another decade
On August 2019, the Hungarian Pest county government office imposed a fine on Coca-Cola for launching an LGBTI-friendly billboard campaign. The campaign depicted heterosexual and homosexual couples with a clear message of acceptance.

EU LGBTI member organisations call on Hungary to drop article 33
ILGA-Europe and Transgender Europe, the two largest networks of LGBTI and trans organisations in Europe and Central Asia, representing over 800 organisations and groups across the region collectively, are calling on the Hungarian Parliament and the Justice Committee of the Parliament to drop Article 33 of a legislative omnibus bill, which would deny access to legal gender recognition in the country.
