Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF) has announced the law firm Lowenstein Sandler LLP as its Pro Bono Partner of the Year. The award will be presented at this year’s Trans Advocacy Awards on Tuesday, June 11, at the Manhattan Penthouse. The Trans Advocacy Awards serve as TLDEF’s signature event that raises critical awareness and support for its work to advance equality for transgender and non-binary people nationwide.

TLDEF Statement on SCOTUS’ Decision to Hear LGBTQ Employment Discrimination Cases
TLDEF responded to news today that the Supreme Court of the United States has agreed to hear a case involving a Michigan transgender woman named Aimee Stephens who was fired from her job at a funeral home because she is transgender (R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission).
