One of America’s gay rights pioneering leaders, José Julio Sarria, passed away Monday morning quietly in his home in New Mexico. He was 91. Funeral and Memorial Service arrangements will be announced by the Imperial Court of San Francisco.

Today the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) announced that Ana M. Ma has been hired as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff. Ma joins HRC from the U.S. Department of Labor where she currently serves as Chief of Staff.
