Sweden’s First Official Drag Queen Calendar Sparks Colourful Craze
Sweden has a new cultural must-have — and it’s drenched in sequins. The Swedish Drag Queen Calendar 2026 – At the End of the Rainbow has been unveiled, featuring twelve of the nation’s most iconic drag performers in a riot of style and personality that’s already setting social feeds alight.
Shot by Anna Vinterfall and styled by Peter Englund, the A3 satin-print calendar presents a month-by-month parade of over-the-top glamour, wit and stage-ready drama. Project leader Nina Saving at Konstexpo describes it as «an explosion of colour, expression and individuality», a deliberate celebration of drag as serious art and joyous entertainment.
The glossy launch hit national TV this Sunday when Vanity Vain — who owns the calendar cover — appeared on TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon alongside Vinterfall and Englund to talk about the creative process. Vanity Vain’s rock’n’roll charisma has made her a household name after a standout run on Drag Race Sverige, a QX Gala win as «Drag of the Year» and an appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars.
Collectors and festive shoppers can pick up the calendar for 399 SEK (VAT included) from Imaginzone, and superfans can splurge on signed, numbered fine-art prints of each performer via Imaginzone.com and QX Shop. Printed on exclusive cotton paper with a shimmering finish, the limited-edition prints are touted as long-lasting keepsakes and perfect presents for the holiday season.
This is more than merchandising: ten percent of profits will go to The Rainbow Foundation, a charity focused on LGBTQI rights. Embla Kullberg, the foundation’s Secretary General, welcomed the initiative, calling the calendar «a fantastic initiative — and the perfect Christmas gift” at a time when anti-LGBTQI propaganda is rising worldwide.
The calendar’s roster reads like a who’s who of the Swedish scene: Admira, Almighty Aphrodiey, Babsan, Bebulah, Bland Drakar och Dragqueens (Inga Tvivel, Björta and Petter Wallenberg), Brenda Mandlar, Eris Arcana, Fontana, Lena BH, Miss Petersson, Miss Tobi and Vanity Vain.
Whether you’re after camp splendour, a bold statement piece for your wall, or a meaningful way to support LGBTQI causes, Sweden’s first official Drag Queen Calendar lands as both a cultural moment and a collector’s item.
