Blake Lively Humiliated as Judge Tosses Most Claims in Explosive Justin Baldoni Harassment Case
Blake Lively has suffered a dramatic legal setback after a federal judge threw out the majority of her explosive harassment lawsuit against co‑star Justin Baldoni — a ruling that leaves the Hollywood star with only a fraction of her case intact as the bitter feud heads toward trial.
Judge Lewis Liman delivered the bruising decision in New York, dismissing 10 of the 13 claims Lively had levelled against Baldoni, including her headline‑grabbing allegations of fat‑shaming, sexual harassment, and defamation. The judge ruled that several of Lively’s accusations «could not reasonably support a claim», handing Baldoni a sweeping pre‑trial victory.
The ruling marks a stunning reversal for Lively, 39, who launched the lawsuit in December 2024 amid escalating tensions on the set of It Ends With Us. Her most sensational allegations — including claims that Baldoni mocked her weight and engaged in inappropriate behaviour — have now been struck from the case entirely, Daily Mail reports.
What remains is a far narrower legal battle. Judge Liman allowed three claims to proceed: breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting retaliation. Those surviving allegations will now head to a civil trial scheduled for 18 May 2026, setting the stage for a high‑profile courtroom showdown.
The decision represents a major win for Baldoni, who has consistently denied all wrongdoing. His legal team hailed the ruling as validation that the most damaging accusations were «unfounded and unsupportable».
For Lively, the judge’s sharp dismissal of her core claims leaves her legal strategy significantly weakened — and raises the stakes for the remaining issues that will be argued before a jury next year.
