Omar Sharif Jr. joins GLAAD staff
GLAAD, the nation’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, today announced that actor and LGBT advocate Omar Sharif Jr. will join GLAAD’s staff as National Spokesperson and Strategic Giving Officer.

Manchester Pride announces ‘No More Booking Fees’
Fundraising charity Manchester Pride has announced there will be no more booking fees as they work with Quaytickets as agent for the 2013 festival. Big Weekend e-tickets will be available for the first time in a package that sees booking fees abolished and Monday day ticket prices reduced.

Over 500 guests, including celebrities and politicians, attended Stonewall’s annual Equality Dinner at London’s Dorchester Hotel last night. The Dinner, hosted by Stella Duffy, raised a record-breaking £394,000 to support Stonewall’s campaigns against homophobia in Britain and worldwide.
