Kobox in London launches campaign to get more gay men into boxing
London boxing studio Kobox has launched a new campaign to get more gay involved in the sport.
Called ‘Proud’, the campaign aims to break down the stereotypes surrounding boxing, as many men think it’s hostile and intimidating, with gay men in particular reporting they feel ‘uneasy’ about entering a boxing environment.
Kobox has worked on the campaign with Attitude magazine, creating a video which shows the isolation and exclusion some gay men may feel when thinking about taking up the sport.
